Srinagar, Oct. 17 -- The Economic Offences Wing of the Crime Branch Kashmir has filed a chargesheet against eight individuals, including four revenue officials - three retired and one serving in connection with a major land fraud case in Srinagar.
The chargesheet was filed before the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption, Srinagar, against the eight accused individuals involved in the fraudulent occupation and manipulation of land records by misusing their official positions. The case was registered in 2019.
The case originated from a complaint alleging that Nadeem Ahmad Mayer and Shafiq Ahmad Mayer, residents of Iqbal Colony, Shalteng Srinagar, illegally encroached upon 52 Kanals of land at Ehel Danihama by allegedly fabricating revenue...
