Ayodhya, Dec. 11 -- A major road accident occurred early this morning in Ayodhya's Bhardasa area, leaving three pilgrims dead and eight others injured.

The victims were travelling from Rewa district in Madhya Pradesh to Ayodhya for a religious visit.

According to reports, a Bolero carrying the pilgrims collided head-on with a tractor-trolley on the Prayagraj Highway near Kalyan Bhardasa village, under the jurisdiction of Pura Kalandar police station.

The impact of the collision was so severe that the Bolero was completely mangled.
