Vijayawada, Aug. 18 -- Five people, including three pilgrims, were killed and seven were injured in two different road accidents in Sri Satya Sai and Nellore districts today.
Police said that a group of people went to hill shrine Tirumala on pilgrimage in a temple travel van from Bellary in Karnataka state. When the pilgrims were going back to Bellary, their van collided with an APSRTC bus at Nandipalli village in Tanakallu mandal.
In this accident, three pilgrims were instantaneously killed, and their identity has yet to be ascertained.
Five of the pilgrims were injured and they were admitted to the GGH where condition of two of the pilgrims is said to be very critical.
