Thane, Dec. 3 -- Three members of a family died on the spot at Dombivli on Tuesday morning, after a brick laden truck knocked down their two-wheeler, police said.
Police said the incident took place at 1000 hrs, when Chaudhari family with four members was proceeding from Kalyan to Dombivli on a bike, speeding truck which was coming from opposite direction dashed the bike killing three on the spot while one was injured who was shifted to a hospital, police said.
The deceased were identified as Ganesh Chowdhari (32), Urmila Chowdhari (25) and Hansika (4) while fourth member Devansh (5) was injured and is being treated in the hospital.
After the incident, the truck driver fled the scene and the police hunt was on to nab him, he added.
