Bhubaneswar, Feb. 27 -- Three government officials were on Thursday convicted by the Special Vigilance court in trap and disproportionate assets cases and sentenced to undergo imprisonment and pay a fine.
Former Livestock Inspector (LI),Daitari Charan Nahak who was charge-sheeted by Odisha Vigilance U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d)/7 PC Act, 1988 for demanding and taking a bribe from a complainant, was convicted and sentenced to undergo three years imprisonment and a fine of Rs.20,000 by Special judge ( Vigilance) Bhawanipatna
The Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for the dismissal of Nahak, following his conviction.
