Three Naxalites killed in encounter with security forces in Sukma

Sukma, Nov. 16 -- : Three Naxalities were killed in a fierce encounter with the security forces in the dense forests of Karigundam, located between Chintagufa and Bheji police station areas in Sukma district, Chhattisgarh.

According to reports, based on credible intelligence, a joint team comprising the police, District Reserve Guard (DRG), and Special Task Force (STF) launched an operation against the Naxalites.

Sources said that the team had received information about a Naxalite group active in the Karigundam forests. Acting on this intelligence, the joint teams of police, DRG, and STF began a cordon-and-search operation. The Naxalites opened fire on the security forces, who responded in self-defense.
