Tirupati, April 29 -- Three masons died when they fell off the fifth floor of an under-construction building at TUDA quarters at Mangalam area here on Tuesday.
Police said the deceased were doing plastering work on the fifth floor of the under-construction building. The platform on which they stood was made of bamboo sticks which collapsed and the three masons fell down, resulting in their death.
The three masons were identified as Botathotti Srinivasulu (40), Vasanth (41) and K Srinivasulu (35).
Police have registered a case and shifted the bodies to the HIG for postmortem. Meanwhile, municipal corporation officials said the building owners are constructing the fourth and fifth floors without permission.
