Washim, Oct. 18 -- A speeding pickup truck collided with two rickshaws near Tuljapur dam on the Karanja-Poha road this morning, resulting in three deaths and eight injuries.
The accident occurred when the pickup truck heading towards Karanja hit a passenger rickshaw coming from the opposite direction and then collided with a goods rickshaw following behind.
The deceased have been identified as Shalini Lokhande (35), Nilesh Vanvasare (25), and Maruti Shinde (70). Washim police immediately reached the spot upon receiving information about the accident. The bodies were sent for postmortem, while all injured persons were promptly shifted to the hospital for treatment.
