Muzaffarnagar, Dec. 29 -- Three members of a family were killed in a devastating fire that broke out in a two-storey house in Muzaffarnagar of Uttar Pradesh on Monday evening, police said.
The blaze intensified after multiple LPG cylinders exploded, trapping the family inside with no chance to escape.
The victims have been identified as Amit Gaur (50), a Kanungo posted in Deoband tehsil of Saharanpur district, his mother Sushila (68), and his younger brother Nitin (45).
All three were burnt alive in the fire that began at 5-30 pm. A neighbour, who attempted to rescue them, sustained burn injuries and has been hospitalised.
