Chitrakoot, Nov. 3 -- Three people were killed and five others were seriously injured after a head-on collision between a Roadways bus and a Bolero SUV, on the Jhansi-Mirzapur National Highway near Khoh village under Karwi Kotwali area, on Sunday night.
According to reports, all the deceased and injured were commuting on the Bolero, while passengers on the bus escaped unhurt. The impact of the crash was so severe that the Bolero was completely mangled, with its front portion destroyed beyond recognition.
Upon receiving information, police and emergency teams rushed to the spot. The injured were taken to the district hospital for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were sent for post-mortem examination.
