Kushinagar/Pratapgarh, Dec. 3 -- In a devastating road accident in Kushinagar district today, a speeding trailer lost control and rammed into five vehicles, leaving three people dead and six others injured.
The incident occurred around 1:30 pm in afternoon in Pakwa Inar town.
According to eyewitnesses, the trailer was travelling from Tamkuhiraj towards Gorakhpur when an elderly man suddenly came in front of the vehicle while crossing the road. In an attempt to save him, the driver swerved sharply towards the divider. The trailer jumped the divider and entered the opposite lane, where it collided head-on with another trailer coming from the opposite direction. The first trailer overturned on the highway.
