Giridh, Sept. 26 -- In a road accident in Giridih district of Jharkhand, three people were killed and ten others sustained serious injuries this afternoon.

The mishap occurred on the Giridih-Dhanbad main road under Taratand police station limits.

According to police, the deceased have been identified as Nandkishore Bhogta (45), Kamal Bhogta (38), and Jagdish Bhogta (48), all residents of Ranidih village under Taratand police station.

Reports suggest that around a dozen residents of Ranidih were returning home from Hazaribagh in a pickup vehicle when, just before reaching their village, their vehicle was hit by a speeding truck coming from Kolkata towards Giridih.
