Patna, Sept. 26 -- A special court today sentenced three foreign women to two years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 4,000 each for smuggling US dollars.
Special Judge Aftab Alam delivered the judgment after trial. The three women belonging to Yangon of Myanmar namely Naweni Than, A. Sandal, and A. Thidar were found guilty under the Indian Penal Code.
In case of default in payment of the fine, each convict will have to undergo an additional one-month imprisonment.
