Kangra, Sept. 22 -- Police in Indora subdivision of Kangra district achieved a major breakthrough against the drug mafia with the arrest of three notorious peddlers and the recovery of heroin, cash, gold, and silver during a raid in Bhadroya village.
Superintendent of Police (Nurpur) Ashok Rattan told UNI that under the ongoing anti-drug campaign, a team from Damtaal police station raided the residence of Bachni Devi, wife of late Satpal, and her two sons Lovjeet alias Labba and Karan.
The raid led to the seizure of 22.65 grams of heroin (chitta), Rs. 4.70 lakh in cash, 101.7 grams of gold ornaments, 478 grams of silver jewellery, and a digital weighing machine. All items were confiscated and the trio was booked under the NDPS Act.
