Hazaribag, March 30 -- Jharkhand's historic Ram Navami procession in Hazaribag concluded early Monday after nearly 36 hours, with three persons reported dead and a large number of participants injured during the event.
The procession, which began around 8 pm on March 28 and ended at about 4 am on March 30, saw participation from 107 akharas and drew a large turnout across the town, officials said.
Deputy Commissioner Shashi Prakash Singh said the event was completed peacefully with coordinated efforts by the administration and local committees. Superintendent of Police Anjani Anjan said preparations had been underway for nearly four months.
