Tirumala, Aug. 3 -- The annual three-day Pavitrotsavams at the Srivari temple in Tirumala will take place from August 5 to 7, commencing with Ankurarpanam on August 4.

On the first day, Pavitra Pratista, second-day Pavitra Samarpana and on the last day Pavitra Purnahuti will be observed.

Every day there will be Snapana Tirumanjanam to the deities.

The festival is believed to have commenced in 1962 to waive off sins that were committed either knowingly or unknowingly by the religious staff, temple staff, employees, and even devotees all through the year through Agama rituals.

In view of the event, TTD has cancelled Sahasra Deepalankara Seva on August 4, Astadala Pada Padmaradhana Seva on August 5, and Tiruppavada on August 7 and also can...
