Shimla, Dec. 9 -- In a major breakthrough, Lahaul-Spiti Police have arrested three cyber fraudsters from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan during an inter-state operation linked to an online cheating case registered under FIR (No. 02/25) at Keylong Police Station.
The case, filed on 3 January 2025 under Sections 318(4) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, has seen swift progress with coordinated efforts across multiple states.
According to an official statement issued on 8 December 2025, the investigation team apprehended Azharullah from Guna, Madhya Pradesh, recovering Rs 49,927 from him; Ramswaroop Meghwal from Rajasthan, with a recovery of Rs 47,927 and Thakor Mehal Re Sangji from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, from whom another Rs 47,927...
