Bahraich (UP), Sept. 18 -- A boat capsized in the Saryu River, leading to the drowning of three cousins in Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh, sources said here today.
The incident occurred late last night in the Kaiserganj police station area, near Thakur Purwa village under the Nimdipur Gram Panchayat. The victims' bodies were recovered this morning, plunging the entire family into deep mourning.
According to reports, Ajay (28), a resident of the village, had lost his wife 11 days ago. Yesterday, a ritual (locally known as "Daswan Sanskar") was held to mark the tenth day after her passing.
