Kolkata, Oct. 28 -- The Border Security Force (BSF) has arrested three Bangladeshi nationals for allegedly crossing the international border illegally into India.
The incident occurred late Monday night in the Murutia police station area of Nadia district, close to the India-Bangladesh border.
Acting on a tip-off about possible infiltration attempts from across the border, BSF personnel maintained heightened vigilance along the stretch.
Around 4 a.m. today morning, the troops spotted three individuals attempting to enter Indian territory.
The BSF jawans chased and apprehended them after a brief pursuit.
During interrogation, the detainees identified themselves as residents of Kushtia district in Bangladesh.
