New Delhi, March 10 -- Delhi Police has busted an inter-state drug trafficking syndicate by arresting three traffickers with over one kilogram of heroin worth Rs 2 crore in the international market, an officer said on Tuesday.
According to the police, the operation was carried out by the Inter-State Cell of the Crime Branch following intel about the movement of a major drug consignment from Uttar Pradesh to Delhi-NCR.
"On February 22, information was received that a suspected trafficker, Faeem Beg, would deliver a large consignment of heroin near the Anand Vihar railway underpass," said Aditya Gautam, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime).
