Mysuru, June 28 -- The forest and police officials have cracked the sensational MM Hills case, arresting three individuals for poisoning the big cats.

The accused - Mada alias Maduraju, Konappa and Nagaraju - confessed to lacing the carcass of a cow with pesticide in an act of revenge, after a tigress allegedly killed their cow 'Kenchi'.

Forest and police teams revealed that the tigress and her four cubs consumed the poisoned meat and died shortly thereafter in the Meenyam forest area within the Hoogyam range. Forest officials discovered the carcasses during patrolling on June 26, prompting a statewide outcry.
