Vijayapura, Sept. 17 -- In a brazen daylight robbery at the State Bank of India (SBI) branch under Chalachana Police Station, three armed criminals reportedly threatened bank staff and customers, fleeing with cash worth Rs 1.04 crore and gold weighing 20 kg, valued at Rs 21.04 crore.
The incident has raised serious concerns about bank security and prompted a high-level police investigation.
According to Vijayapura Police, the robbery occurred between 6:00 am and 8:00 am when the three intruders entered the bank premises.
