Chennia, Sept. 30 -- The Greater Chennai City Police tonight said the bomb threats received bysome Consulates in the city via mail turned out to be a hoax and there was no cause of any alarmand the origin of tjhe hoax mails were eing traced and strict legal action would be taken.
Upon receiving the theatening mail, police conducted a thorough search of those premises alongwith bomb detection squad personnel and sniffer dogs and the threats turned out to be a hoax.
Cautioning the public about such haox hreats, the Chennai Cyber Crime Wing police said thebomb threats received via email to various consulates, earlier today have been thoroughlyinvestigated and have been confirmed to be hoax.
