Shillong, Jan. 28 -- Meghalaya Police on Wednesday initiated a probe after a provocative poster, purportedly pasted by Islamic terrorists, surfaced in Tura, asking the indigenous Garo communities to vacate the Garo Hills plain, triggering concerns over attempts to disturb communal harmony.
The poster purportedly issued in the name of ISIS-K and attributed to an individual identifying himself as Aminur Islam, a self-styled "Plain Belt Area Commander", was found pasted on an electric pole near the New Tura Matchakolgre Field under the West Garo Hills district on Wednesday morning.
