Agartala, Aug. 16 -- Based on newspaper reporting, the Tripura Human Rights Commission (THRC) directed the state's Director of Health Services, to stop appointing medical officers who scored less than 30 marks out of 100 in the recruitment exams.

Recently, Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) has published a list of 216 qualified candidates for General Duty Medical officers who will be joining under the Health & Family Welfare Department in different government hospitals across Tripura.

THRC, in an order, mentioned that it has come to know that a good number of Medical officers were selected for the job, who secured only 14, 19, 20, and 21 out of 100 in the exam. It opined that the quality of Tripura Medical officers has been compromi...
