Kochi, Dec. 20 -- Thousands from across Kerala gathered on Saturday to pay their last respects to veteran actor, screenwriter and filmmaker Sreenivasan, whose passing has left the Malayalam film industry and cultural circles in deep mourning.
Leading Malayalam film stars Mohanlal and Mammootty visited to offer their final homage to the departed artiste.
Mohanlal, who shared a long and memorable professional association with Sreenivasan, was seen paying respects with folded hands. Mammootty stood beside the mortal remains for a while, visibly emotional, as poignant scenes marked the farewell.
