Kolkata, Dec. 7 -- Hosts and exponents of Sanatan dharma, attired in saffron cloaks and milky white dresses on Sunday assembled at the open air Brigade Parade Ground in the city to lent their voices to the 'Panch Lokkho Konte Gita Path' being organised by Sanatan Sanskriti Sansad, an umbrella organisation of several Hindu outfits.

The holy Gita recitation began with the blowing of conch shells and chanting of Vedic hymns in presence of Padma Bhushan awardee Sadhvi Rithambara, Bageswar Dham's Dhirendra Shastri, and many other dignitaries of Hindu faith even as thousands of devotees assembled in the sunny weather to take part in the unprecedented Hindu faith awakening through Gita recitation.
