Srinagar, Sept. 9 -- Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Sat Sharma today said that those involved in vandalising the national emblem at Hazratbal shrine last week should face action.

He said that protecting the Constitution and its symbols is the duty of every Indian and no one should "play any kind of game" with the respect of the nation.

Alleging that their religious sentiments had been hurt, a group of worshippers on Friday defaced the emblem engraved on an inaugural plaque within the Hazratbal shrine premises - the Valley's most revered Muslim shrine that houses the relic of Prophet Mohammad.

While the Waqf Board chairperson Darakhshan Andrabi described the protestors as "terrorists" and demanded their arrest under the Public Safety Act...
