Los Angeles, Nov. 20 -- Thomas Bezucha, who wrote and directed the original 2005 hit "The Family Stone" has confirmed that he is actively crafting a sequel to the much-loved Christmas film.
Bezucha shared the news in conversation with CNN during an interview reflecting on his experience working with the late Diane Keaton, who portrayed the family marriage, Sybil Stone.
The filmmaker said that he had been thinking about and working on the script for a follow-up to "The Family Stone" which follows Sybil's family at Christmas as they grapple with the news that she is terminally ill, when he learned of Keaton's untimely death last month at the age of 79.
