New Delhi, Feb. 24 -- The third round of the Iran-US talks to resolve the nuclear standoff between the two countries will be held in Geneva on Thursday (February 26), Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi said on Tuesday.

He hoped that the third round would be a positive push towards finalising the deal.

''Pleased to confirm US-Iran negotiations are now set for Geneva this Thursday, with a positive push to go the extra mile towards finalising the deal,'' he said on X.

The first and second rounds of talks were held on February 6 in Muscat and on February 17 in Geneva. While no agreement could be reached, both sides agreed to continue the negotiations.
