Kolkata, Nov. 8 -- Joana Lapinska, the Artistic Director of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, on Saturday drew attention to the pressing challenges confronting Polish cinema, particularly the issue of film distribution, during her address at the 31st Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) here.

Focusing on the evolution of Polish cinematography, Lapinska described it as an era marked by "diversity and dynamism." She highlighted the dynamic coexistence of veteran filmmakers such as Krzysztof Zanussi, Agnieszka Holland and Pawel Pawlikowski, alongside a new generation of innovative voices.
