New York, Oct. 18 -- Hollywood heartthrob Ashton Kutcher has revealed that his quintessential "leading man" allure has, paradoxically, curtailed his access to a variety of challenging roles.

Speaking at the New York Comic Con panel for his upcoming FX thriller "The Beauty", the 47-year-old actor revealed that his physical image has, at times, restricted his access to more complex and unglamorous roles.

Moderated by showrunner Ryan Murphy, the session also featured actors Evan Peters, Anthony Ramos, Jeremy Pope and Rebecca Hall, each reflecting on the interplay between identity, aesthetics and performance, reported PEOPLE.
