Chennai, Feb. 25 -- It was all over in 46 days in 2017 for V K Sasikala in her first political stint, which started in the aftermath of the death of her close aide and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
The rise and fall of Chief Minister wannabe and then Interim AIADMK General Secretary V K Sasikala, affectionately called "Chinnamma," lasted exactly 46 days, to be precise, before the Supreme Court shattered her dream of rising to the seat of power (CM) by restoring the trial court order convicting her in the Disproportionate Assets (DA) case.
It seemed that the year 2017 had not dawned as well as expected for her.
