Bengaluru, Oct. 9 -- In-form N Thangaraja of Sri Lanka, riding the momentum of his recent successes on the PGTI, carded a brilliant five-under 66 in the third round to seize a commanding five-shot lead at Rs 1 crore Bengaluru Open 2025 Powered by IndianOil, being played at the Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) course here.
Thangaraja, who began the day as the overnight leader by one shot, moved to a total of 16-under 197 (66-65-66), putting him firmly in control and emerging as the clear favourite for the title.
Hyderabad's Mohammed Azhar (69-66-67), Gurugram's Manu Gandas (70-63-69) and Kolkata's Viraj Madappa (65-67-70) were locked in a tie for second at 11-under 202, trailing Thangaraja by five shots.
