Thane, Dec. 6 -- Thane Police on Saturday recovered fifteen stolen and missing mobile phones to their respective owners, an official said. The recovered phones, belonging to various manufacturers, have a combined value of approximately Rs 1,97,589.
Police spokesperson Shailesh Salvi said the devices were traced using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) application, which matches details of missing phones with data uploaded on the official portal. Once the phones were located, officers contacted the affected citizens and returned the devices after completing the verification process.
