Thane College students get Disaster Mgmt training
Thane, Aug. 13 -- A workshop on disaster management was held today for students of KBP College in city, organised by the Thane Municipal Corporation's Regional Disaster Management Cell.
The training included live demonstrations on fire safety, flood response, Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid, preventing suffocation, emergency evacuation, and making improvised stretchers.
The training was led by National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) officers Yogesh Sharma and Pankaj Chaudhary and Thane Disaster Response Force (TDRF) officer Yasin Tadvi. It was held under the guidance of Principal Santosh Gawade and Vice Principal Yogita Kumbhar.
