Thane, Oct. 4 -- Thane district has created a record in blood donation by collecting 5,211 blood bags through 130 camps organised between September 17 and October 2.
The initiative was part of the Swasth Nari, Sukhat Parivar Abhiyan (Healthy Women, Strong Family Campaign), with residents enthusiastically embracing the message that "a drop of blood gives new life to someone."The campaign also included comprehensive health check-ups for women, covering blood pressure, diabetes, cancer screening, hemoglobin levels, tuberculosis, and other medical tests.
