Hyderabad, May 31 -- In a dazzling display of talent, grace, and resilience, Thailand's Opal Suchata Chuangsri was crowned the 72nd Miss World at the grand finale held on Saturday night at the Hitex Exhibition Centre in Madhapur, Hyderabad.

Kristina Piskova, Miss World 2024, crowned Opal Suchata Chuangsri as her successor. Ethiopia secured the first runner-up position, Poland the second runner-up, and Martinique finished as the third runner-up.

Suchata, who hails from Phuket, Thailand, will receive prize money amounting to Rs. 8.5 crore. Her victory has sparked celebrations across Thailand as she has brought international acclaim to her country.
