Bangkok, Dec. 20 -- Thailand's military has framed its recent cross-border strikes on Cambodia as a "war against the scam army," claiming the operations target transnational cybercriminal networks operating across Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar.
The new narrative adds a novel justification for bombing runs near the contentious border, which have already resulted in significant civilian casualties and widespread displacement.
