Pune, Jan. 24 -- Hemant Patil, National President of India against corruption and a prominent OBC leader, on Saturday appealed to Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) Chief Uddhav Thackeray and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray to adopt a flexible stand on Marathi identity and Hindutva and form an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Patil said that it is the desire of people across Maharashtra that the two major regional parties-Shiv Sena led by Uddhav Thackeray and MNS led by Raj Thackeray-come together with the BJP. "If a BJP-Shiv Sena-MNS alliance is formed, it would create new political equations and significantly alter the state's political landscape," he said.
