Mumbai, Sept. 22 -- The Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), led by Raj Thackeray, are expected to jointly contest the upcoming local municipal elections in Mumbai.
A seat-sharing formula for the Mumbai Municipal Corporation appears to have been finalized, said Shiv Sena (UBT) sources.
In the city's core areas, considered a stronghold of Shiv Sena, both parties are likely to contest an equal number of seats. In the suburbs, however, the distribution will be based on the respective party strength and candidate viability, with Shiv Sena contesting approximately 60% of the seats, according to sources.
