Hyderabad, Jan. 7 -- The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has geared up to handle the Sankranthi travel rush by operating 6,431 special buses to safely ferry passengers to their hometowns.

The corporation expects heavy demand on January 9, 10, 12 and 13, with return-journey rush anticipated on January 18 and 19. Special buses will be operated based on demand from major hubs in Hyderabad, including MGBS, JBS, Uppal, LB Nagar, KPHB, Gachibowli, Aramghar and other locations. Passenger amenities such as pandals, seating, public address systems, drinking water and mobile toilets will be provided at key boarding points.
