TGHRC takes cognisance of complaint on unequal pay to outsourced education Dept wmployees

Hyderabad, Dec. 19 -- The Telangana Human Rights Commission (TGHRC), headed by Chairperson Justice Shameem Akther, has taken cognisance of a complaint filed by Messengers (Office Subordinates) working in Mandal Education Offices across the state, alleging denial of equal pay despite long years of service.

According to the complaint, the outsourced employees have been rendering services for over two decades but are being paid only Rs 11,050 per month, contrary to G.O.Ms.No.60 dated June 11, 2021, which prescribes a remuneration of Rs 15,600 per month.

The petitioners also alleged discrimination, stating that similarly placed employees in other government departments are being paid higher wages.
