New Delhi, Feb. 16 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said India's annual textile exports have reached Rs 3 lakh crore, and the target now was to increase it to Rs 9 lakh crore by 2030.
Addressing the "Bharat Tex 2025" at Bharat Mandapam here, Modi said, "India saw a 7% increase in textile and apparel exports last year, and now ranks as the sixth-largest exporter of textiles and apparel in the world".
Emphasising that the success in the textile sector was the result of a decade of consistent efforts and policies, the Prime Minister highlighted that foreign investment in the textile sector has doubled over the last decade.
