New Delhi, Jan. 5 -- The AAP on Monday cited a report by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) to reignite allegations that Delhi received heavily polluted water from Haryana during the party-led dispensation in the national capital.
According to AAP, the report confirms long-standing claims of dangerous ammonia levels that were previously dismissed by authorities.
AAP Delhi state president Saurabh Bharadwaj presented data from the TERI assessment, claiming it shows ammonia levels in the Yamuna river water entering Delhi reached approximately 27 to 30 parts per million (ppm) in a sample from last December.
The Delhi Jal Board's water treatment plants are typically capable of handling ammonia concentrations only up to 1 ppm.
