Chandigarh, Aug. 22 -- Infighting has been brewing within the Punjab Congress and it came to the fore after a heated confrontation erupted during a party meeting in Samana, Patiala district. Local leaders engaged in a verbal spat in front of senior leadership, including Congress co-in-charge Uttam Rao Dalvi, who was on stage at the time.

Kulbir Singh Zira, former MLA from Zira and Ferozepur Congress chief, launched a sharp attack on Kapurthala MLA Rana Gurjit Singh, comparing him to the mythological figure Ravana. Zira remarked that he sees little difference between Rana and Ravana, who is known for having a vast knowledge of the four Vedas but ultimately his arrogance led to his downfall.

As of now, Rana has not responded to these remark...
