Chandigarh, Aug. 13 -- A parking dispute in Haryana's Nuh district's Mundaka village escalated into violence yesterday, leaving seven people injured and creating tension in the area.
According to local sarpanch accounts, the incident began when two youths allegedly attacked a tent trader with a bottle. This was followed by a crowd gathering and reportedly hurling stones and glass bottles from rooftops, setting a bike and a shop on fire, and causing widespread damage. The sarpanch linked the unrest to lingering tensions from the 2023 Nuh riots.
A woman from the other side of the dispute alleged that her house was looted, three family members were assaulted, and an attempt was made to set her home ablaze using kerosene.
