Kolhapur, July 29 -- The police resorted to a mild lathi charge to disperse an irate mob that pelted stones at police vehicles during the farewell procession of the elephant Mahadevi, who was being relocated to Gujarat following a court order. The incident occurred today morning in Nandani village, Shiroli tehsil.
