Ongole (Andhra Pradesh), June 11 -- Tension prevailed in Podili town in Prakasam district during former Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's visit on Wednesday as the YSRCP activists hurled stones at TDP activists, who were registering protest against disparaging comments in a TV debate. Several TDP activists and a police constable were injured in the incident.
Former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy went to Podili town to observe the tobacco auction centre and listen to the problem of tobacco farmers. A group of TDP women activists took out a rally holding black balloons and placards to register their protests for the obnoxious comments made in the TV debate in the Sakshi news channel, owned by Jagan Mohan Reddy family.
