Rio De Janeiro, Oct. 3 -- Gonzalo Tapia and Luciano Neves scored in each half as 10-man Sao Paulo registered a 2-0 away win over Fortaleza in Brazil's Serie A.

Chilean forward Tapia opened the scoring by pouncing on a loose ball before turning and, in the same motion, firing the ball into the bottom-left corner on Thursday.

But the visitors suffered a blow in the 22nd minute when Emiliano Rigoni was shown a straight red card for stamping on forward Deyverson.

Fortaleza dominated possession thereafter but lacked incisiveness in the final third.

Sao Paulo added a second goal with a counterattacking move that began and ended with Luciano, who tapped in from point-blank range after Enzo Diaz's cross.
